This delightful mushroom has been carefully needle felted from 100% sheep's wool to be as realistic and true to size where possible.
The Wood Blewit, with its blue/purple colours, stands proudly on a metal rod and is firmly attached to a wooden base.
Lots of attention to detail can be noted, particularly under the cap, which gives a feeling of real gills.
The stipe (stem) colouring give a feeling of it just being taken from the ground, and slightly discoloured and bruised from other creatures.
The base is made to resemble the earth, with moss and grass growing from it.
The wooden block has been made to look like an old style specimen stand, with a brass name bracket on the front. The English and Latin names are printed on card and slotted into the name holder, giving it a feeling of authenticity.
This item is perfect for any mushroom or fungi lover and would make a great start to any collection.
Dimensions (approximate) 18cm tall x 7cm x 7cm
Please note: the item may appear slightly fuzzy and that is due to the nature of the wool when needle felted. Don't be tempted in pulling at the fibres, as it may loosen more over time, despite how much it has been felted. Each mushroom may not look exactly as they do in the photos as no two mushrooms are identical in nature.
Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent colour fading.
Keep out of reach of small children and animals, due to the fibres and containing a metal rod may be hazardous.
