Green Cracked Brittlegill specimen

This smallish green speckled cap fungus would be well hidden in the wild, but now you can own your own - needle felted from 100% sheep's wool. 

With its camouflaged green colour, this fungus has been carefully created to make it as realistic as possible, as though it has been taken from the wild. Even under the cap, there is a feeling of gills due to the needle felting and sculpting.

The brittlegill stands on a metal rod which is fixed into the wooden base.

A needle felted mound of earth has been created so that the Brittlegill can stand proudly between the rod and the wooden base.

The wooden base is made to feel like an antique base with a bronze name plate, which holds the English and Latin name of this fungi.

The base measures approximately 7cm x 7cm x 3cm and the Brittlegill is approximately 7.5cm x 7cm x 7cm.

The approximate dimensions of the entire specimen sculpture is approximately 17cm x 7cm x 7cm. 

Please note : the item may appear slightly fuzzy, this is normal. Please do not be tempted to pull at the fibres as over time, this may encourage more loose fibres and distort the sculpture.

Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent the colours from fading.

Keep out of reach of children and small animals due to fibres and metal rod, which could prove hazardous.
