This indigo milk cap mushroom has been needle felted with great care, using 100% pure wool, to replicate the size mushroom in size and characteristics. It has a milky white stem, with blemishes to mimic how it would be in nature. The cap is white on top with what appears to be intermittent blue concentric circles. It measures approximately 11.5cm in diameter.
The underside of the cap is blue with white gills. This is all textured to make it seem realistic.
The milk cap has a bamboo rod fixed within its stem and fixed to the base, through the grassy mound, using glue.
The grassy mound is needle felted to a mound shape.
The wooden slice, cut from my local area, is approximately 12cm in diameter and 2cm thick.
The total height of the sculpture, including base, is 17cm and 12cm in diameter.
This sculpture must be handled with care so as not break the stem, or come away from the base.
WARNING Keep out of reach from children and small animals. It is not a toy. Contains small wool fibres.
